We have arrived! After 10 and a half hours in flight, three movies, and an hour and a half bus ride, we are in Tokyo central. It would be around 4 a.m. MN time, and we have just checked into the most fabulous hotel. Without stopping for a break, we are on our way out to dinner with former Japanese Fulbright students who studied in the United States. We're all pretty exhausted, but we can't wait to see the town. Yipee, we made it!

If you see Godzilla or any of his nemeses, please take their picture, but be careful to steer clear. Also, don't go near Bill Murray if he's in your hotel bar. He's trouble and a letch.
Keep us posted.

Good morning to you...hard to believe you are actually experiencing an entirely unique culture, lifestyle, landscape let alone language. (A little travel tip: trust in the silent language or the language that is unspoken as it is truly universal)
Enjoy your travels, Mary. We await accounts of your incredible journey.
