Got Fish?

What did you eat for breakfast today? I had eggs, fish eggs that is, along with rice, smoked salmon, eggplant, miso soup, some yummy vegetables that I couldn't identify, and some tea. This is quite a change from my normal cereal and milk. This photo shows the breakfast before I started digging in. When was the last time you used chopsticks to eat your breakfast?

Hi Meg,
I'm sitting in the den getting my morning dose of Bob Marley and reading your blog. Can't believe you ate salmon! What miracle is next? Mom and I look forward to reading about your adventures. Love. Dad

Michelle and I were the Friendship Family for two Japanese Gustavus students the last few years. They are both back in Japan now. Their names are Yukari and Sayaka. If you see them, say "Hi" for us, OK?

The salmon sounds great, the miso soup sounds wonderful...veggies and rice mmmm, but fish eggs? It's hard to dunk toast in that.

Wow, where's all the sugar? I just had Frosted Flakes followed up with a mid-morning Krispy Kreme and a can of Diet Dew - breakfast of champions! (-: What did the fish eggs taste like, anything like Fruity Pebbles? What is the weather like in Tokyo these days?

Okay, first off, how is it that I have to read my sister's Japanese Travel Blog to find out that my parents listen to Bob Marley?

And which one of your friends is dissing your brothers?? Huh???

Hey, Meg, do your students and administrators read this? Sue made me clean up my entry because of it.

Do you realize that you are closer to Hawaii than I've ever been?

Hi Meg, this is Theo. I made it squid day on Monday. My dad made us squid for supper, then I did a show on Giant Squid. When you come home we're going to have either octopus day or maybe coral day.

Dad says he won't make those for dinner.

I would just have toast. I'm not a big salmon person.
